Our comprehensive Baldrige-based assessment includes the following steps:
Preparation
We work with you to identify appropriate leaders, managers, and staff to interview, and develop a communication plan and prework to ensure the interviews foster learning and engagement. In preparation, we review key organizational documents to support and deepen our dialogue with you and your staff.
Focused Site Visit
We conduct on-site interviews, with telephone follow-up as required, make observations, gather information, document findings, and provide a preliminary evaluation and recommendations. A key output from our data-gathering is the five-page Organizational Profile, which describes your organization's mission, vision, values, and culture; profiles your customers, workforce, and partners, as well as your services and markets; details your organization's core competencies, strategic challenges, and strategic advantages; and describes your performance improvement system. This profile services as a critical foundation for the assessment and contributes to aligned leadership direction and decision making.
Feedback Report
We deliver a comprehensive narrative evaluation of your strengths, gaps, and opportunities, using the Baldrige feedback and scoring system. In contrast to an award process feedback report, however, we use our knowledge of your organization and industry best practices to pair objective evaluative comments with recommendations for action.
Presentation and Action Planning
We provide our findings in a structured dialogue with leaders to help you fully understand your organization's current status. In contrast to the national and most state award processes, we participate actively with you to analyze the feedback, set priorities, and develop action plans to achieve your goals.
