Teaching Hospital
A teaching hospital with a history of recognition for its quality programs became one of several hospitals in its state to be placed on probation by their state Department of Public Health. The hospital was mandated to work with a Clinical Consulting Firm and selected MGH CPE to complete an initial assessment, identify recommendations for improvement, and perform subsequent reviews. We worked with hospital leaders to develop a comprehensive Hospital Improvement Plan which resulted in the deployment of 77 project teams. After six months, 97 percent of the action plans were closed. Subsequently, the DPH removed the probationary status, and this organization continues to pursue its overall performance excellence journey with compelling evidence of major progress.
