Community Hospital

Board members of a prominent community hospital came to find that their publicly available quality measures had dropped significantly. The Board Chair reached out to MGH CPE to conduct an independent assessment to identify causes for this change. A team of MGH CPE experts in quality, patient safety, and measurement interviewed dozens of leaders, employees and medical staff and prepared and analysis of the root causes of the drop in performance. Working closely with the board and executive team, MGH CPE facilitated several crucial conversations leading to an action plan with timelines for returning to the baseline of strong performance. MGH CPE returned at six months to evaluate progress and make further recommendations. Within a year, the organization achieved its goals, and board members regained confidence in their management team.
