The History of MGH's Center for Performance Excellence
MGH CPE was founded in 2003 by Kathleen Jennison Goonan, MD, working in partnership with David Blumenthal, MD, then Director of the Institute for Health Policy at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Partners. A not-for-profit consultancy, the MGH CPE has served more than twenty-five health care and related organizations, providing organizational assessments, strategic guidance, and implementation support to help clients achieve breakthroughs in performance.
